exploring the outdoors to reduce stress

Lone Tree Hill

This week I decided to go up Lone Tree Hill, which is a moderate intensity hike and a pretty quick one at that. This 2.5k hike, both up and down, is really fun to do if you have less then an hour to waste. It is dog friendly and despite how short it is, the view is absolutely amazing. Lone Tree Hill is located just off of Millstream Rd, past Finlayson Arm Rd. There is a small parking lot so be prepared to park on the road if it is peak times.

This is also a wonderful spot to catch a sunrise if you are not wanting to hike up in the dark onto a mountain. Here I have a video of one of the times I saw the sunrise on here.

There is a lot of places to go after for a bite to eat; Langford has been developing more and more every year and now there are huge hot spots for food. My favourite place to go after a brisk hike like this is The Loghouse. It is a pub (19+) but has family friendly sections, so the best of both worlds!
