My name is Anna Serdyukova and I am a second year student at the University of Victoria working towards my bachelor degree in the Elementary School Program. I have been working with children for almost 5 years now. I started my career in childcare as a responsible adult with school age children and quickly fell in love with the job and the children who were there. After a few years of experience from one daycare center, I decided to apply at a bilingual center to help me learn from different experienced staff. I started to work only with school age children as I chose to begin my teaching career.
I was born in Ukraine and grew up with my grandma by my side, who has been a teacher for almost over 60 years. Her job was her life and she was my greatest role model. I knew my whole life that I wanted to be just like her so here we are! I am very excited to start gaining more knowledge that I can apply in my future career from this program and all the connections I will make.
